Kigen's Anti-Cheat

Hi Kigen,

Since my install yesterday I have been getting complaints with server lag. Everything ran 100% for the first couple hours then I recieved multiple complaints about my source servers lagging really hard. Now trust me on this one, I always get the clients to traceroute, check rates yadda yadda... But this is coming from multiple locations over North America and from players that do know how to test if its their connection faulting somewhere or whatnot.

Here is my current setup on all my servers:

Would you be able to know if there is any complications with this setup that could cause the problem?

Secondly, I recieved a post on my forums about someone being banned. Would you be so kind to enlighten myself of what this means?

Lag issues are one of those things were it could be multiple things.

As far as that dude saying "bunny hopping causes KAC bans" it does not. KAC will only ban for third party cheats, he could have sat in spectator and KAC still would've banned him because he was cheating. Bunny hopping doesn't affect the results of convar queries. Nothing like bunny hopping or anything like that would cause a KAC ban.

Thanks for the sockets link. I will look into it. I am using currently 1.4.0 Beta 2.1.1.

Update:
I did update sockets, still same problems.. I took off mani, and eventscripts, same problems.

I took off KAC, then the lag went away.

I am at a loss of words. I want to be able to use your plugin, but I cant stand the complaints from the regs on the servers.

Any more suggestions?

Have you looked into this?

Would you consider your plugin more CPU intensive than average plugins? Can you describe a little bit of its operation? Are there checks done on a player continuously or just when they enter the server? Every round? multiple times per round?
