Kigen's Anti-Cheat

Is a blank name a bannable offense or is it just something prevented by KAC? I was banned by KAC two(?) years ago after being on a CSS server for maybe a minute. The only thing I had time to do on that server was change my name using

setname ""

in the console. If that's the reason, then shame on me.

I have no way to prove this, and I'm sure plenty of people have come on here pleading to be removed from the list while lying the whole time, but HLSS and FRAPS are the only things I've ever run alongside any game. I've never even tried to find cheats. End sob story.

I asked maybe a year ago if the blank name was my reason for being banned and the only response I got was "The ban is valid." Is there any way I can just find out so I can quit wondering? This has been bugging me for two years. Thanks for your time.

Also, I realize this is the wrong forum, but I found this thread through Google and I posted here since it's a related topic. If I have to post in the protest forum again, I will.

You beat me to it. I was about to repost in here and edit my posts to "nothing to see here". I wasn't trying to get my post seen under false pretenses. It was just a dumb move :-/

Edit: I'm aware of the requirements for posting a protest. I'm not trying to be difficult, but one of the rules is to only make one thread protesting a ban. I've already posted one.

It's been forever since I got banned by KAC, and I've accepted that I'm banned. I'm not trying to get unbanned, as nice as it would be. Like I said, I'm just curious if my reason is the correct one. If Kigen doesn't publish the less obvious reasons for bans, then I guess that's all the answer I'll get.

Definitely not trying to be a kiss butt, because I know 100% it does no good: I hate that I've been caught by what I consider a bad catch, because I really like what you guys do. I hate cheaters as much as the next person. Keep up the good work, even if I can't enjoy the benefits. [Just wanted to throw that in before the thread gets locked.]
