Thorough Explanation of KAC ID's

Hi, Could a thorough explanation of KAC ID's be published?

A regular on my server who doesnt cheat has just been caught by KAC. KAC ID 5.15

I know the 5 is for "Failure to match server replicated convar." - but whats the 15 ??

He played many times with no problems, then suddenly:

I unbanned him, he didnt change his config, rejoined, and he got on fine...???

I dont want to get into an arguement, but I'm confident he doesnt cheat. He's played on my servers for years, and doesnt have the stats to indicate cheating either...

I can send you logs anything that could help incase this is a bug?

Oh meh, that is a classic detection.

That fool was cheating 100%.

Cheats often turn off sv_consistency and turn on sv_cheats. Trust me, that is 100% cheating.

It can be shocking to know who cheats.

As far as him joining he must have turned them off. They do have something known as a "panic key".

I understand that. Thanks for the reply.

We agree there is something not right if he was caught by KAC, then we unban him and he gets on fine. He knew to change something after being unbanned.

On a different note, how can we get KAC to be the admin instead of console when its a KAC ban?

Heh. Thats just how you'll have to setup SourceBans. Its well beyond the scope of KAC.

But dude, that dude was cheating. Any coder can tell you that there was no error with KAC. Because your above posted log is two classic detections with cheats.

Kigen's right. You must activate a cheat script in order to get that ban. There's been tests done to ensure that custom models, skins, and other possible used non-cheat scripts don't set off a ban. Kigen's explaination hits it right on. We've turned VAC off and tested with old broken accounts in order to prove this right.

do you have this somewhere? i saw on allied that it was explained a bit more but is there anything more detailed so we can see exactly who is doing what and why they were banned? if you want to just pm me on the ns forums. actually if you pm it to me that would be best... i have some useful info that i want to share in the reply.
