Well.

Well.

Post by Mastermind »

About a 2 years ago I was KAC Banned.
Haven'y been playing on any games/servers that use KAC. Joined one today, played for half a round to find out I was KAC banned.
Honestly, there is nothing to do about this besides getting a new steam account?
I understand that this is the internet and you can't tell if someone has changed or not through it. BUT, if I was cheating why would I want to be unbanned?
To go back into a server and get banned again? No.
I also understand that all KAC bans are permanent or they used to be.
You guys have a nice thing going on here. Keep up the good work.

Well, this probably won't be a surprise here.

But ya, the ban is permanent and cannot be removed because it is a valid cheating ban. And the only way around is re-buying the games on a new Steam account.

While you may be one who really changed there are others who would abuse being given a second chance with the same Steam account anyway. VALVe used to do timed bans for VAC. But it clearly failed as soon as the account's ban expired the account would be used for cheating. That is why VALVe switched to a permanent ban on a Steam account style.
